FAQs
These are some of our frequently asked questions - if your
question isn't answered here please feel free to contact us.
Q: I am not a
resident of Great Britain or USA - can I still apply?
A: Unfortunately at this moment
in time we are only contracted to recruit holders
who are resident in GB or USA and hold a full and valid passport
for those countries.
Q: Do you do short term
placements?
A: Yes depending on the college - please see
college links for more details..
Q: Will I have to pay
for my air fare up front?
A: Yes if you are applying for a position at
the Nanjing Institute but this is reimbursed by the college who
also pay the return flight
on
completion
of
the
contract.
Those teachers applying for
the Xi'an Business College have their flights arranged and
paid for by the client.
Q: I have never taught
before - will I have some training?
A: Everyone
will receive orientation days when they first arrive - these
are provided by the colleges
and are to help people
settle in.

we also offer a free one day residential course at Wigan
and Leigh College the day
before
you fly out
(UK residents
only)

- interviews - flights,

known as RMB (Renminbi) - the full name is Yuan Renminbi

be paid?
A: Wages
are paid monthly into a Chinese bank account which will be opened
for you - you
will be provided with a cashline card
in order to withdraw your money.
As you will be paid monthly
we would advise you to bring some money with you to cover
the first month.
Q: What are the laundry
facilities?
A: Laundry facilities are available on site.
Q: Do I need any vaccinations?
A: We would
advise that you speak to your own doctor with regards any vaccinations
that may be needed......also please remember that some vaccination
courses are taken up to 2/3 months before date of travel.
Q: Do I need medical
insurance?
A: In Nanjing all teachers will have free
access to the college medical centre and if for any reason
hospital
treatment is required then the college will also cover
that.
NB: Any pre-existing
medical conditions requiring hospital treatment will have
to be paid for by the teacher.
In Xi'an medical insurance
can be arranged but at the expense of the teacher - this
usually costs around £100 however you may choose to take
out your own insurance.
Q: I have a medical
condition - will this affect my chances?
A: It all depends on a number
of factors - what kind of condition you have - if you take
medication for it etc. We will contact
you further if you inform us that you have a medical condition
- you may be asked to provide a note from your doctor. We need
to be assured that the medical condition you have will not
affect your day to day life in China.
Q: How long after my
interview will I know if I have been successful (UK
applicants only)?
A: We will
contact you within two weeks of your interview - all details
are sent to our client in China who makes the final
decision.
