Testimonials
From being met at Beijing airport and
greeted with a huge bouquet of flowers, to now; one month later,
has been one amazing journey.
All the staff and my students at the
college are so friendly and really eager to learn English,
they're also enthusiastic to teach me Mandarin.
I'm settling in really well and have
ventured out of the college gates where I've eaten in some
really fantastic restaurants. In my opinion the street food
is the best food and it costs five Yuan, which is about thirty-three
pence, crazy' but true.
I've
also had the experience of visiting the City Walls, the wild
goose pagoda
and the Terracotta Warriors.
One of the most mind-blowing experiences was climbing one of
China's Mountains, which was slightly daunting, but all
worth the while once we reached the top! I've had the opportunity
to see some of China's night life too, which included going
to a Chinese rock gig!
...the
food's great, the people are great, the scenery's great,
what can I say?, "a
journey of a thousand miles starts with one small step."
