Life in Nanjing

Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology (www.niit.edu.cn) is a large brand new College with over 20,000 students with 1,000 registered on Wigan and Leigh College UK courses.

NIIT is one of the foremost colleges in Nanjing and also has a partnership with a Canadian College - it is very pro-active with its international partnerships and many of the staff speak fluent English

NIIT is partnered with Wigan and Leigh College UK to deliver courses in the Engineering (electrical - mechanical and automotive) and computing areas - all are at Higher Diploma Level. Students are in the age range of 18 years to 23 years of age

Wigan and Leigh College UK provides regular update to the staff in China, with staff from the UK travelling over approximately three times a year to deliver staff development and deliver guest lectures.

NIIT is only 15 kilometres from the centre of Nanjing on a purpose built site in an area where a number of Institutes and Universities are based, regular free bus services take place between NIIT and the city centre.
